Caterpillar C-Series SSLs and MTLs are coming to Peterson

Caterpillar announced the availability of C-Series Skid Steer Loaders and Multi Terrain Loaders in February of 2007. C-Series machines encompass the large end of the product line with Rated Operating Capacities (ROC) from 2,150 lbs to 4,200 lbs. These loaders set a new standard in the industry, and will be pulling into Tractor and Machinery in June.

Current industry trends show customers are moving to larger skid steer loaders and multi terrain loaders. In addition, a growing number of customers are switching from wheeled machines to track machines. In response, Caterpillar’s C-Series line has grown to meet this need. The C-Series model line consists of four skid steer loaders and three multi terrain loaders which will enhance the largest range of SSL and MTL machines on the market.

The machines will feature updated exterior styling, a completely redesigned cab, improved breakout force, undercarriage enhancements on the MTL’s, and a large number of additional improvements, such as:

  • ROPS/FOPS certified sealed and pressurized cabs, giving a quieter and cleaner ride;
  • Increases of up to 25 percent in lift and 30 percent in tilt breakout forces for more material movement in various applications and increased productivity;
  • Selectable work speed controls that allow the operator to match the performance of the machine to the application, similar to vehicle cruise control;
  • More rollers on the track-type machines for better cleanout and easier maintenance;
  • Complete C-Series and B-Series work tools compatibility, with high flow hydraulics now available on all models;

Peterson is looking forward to the arrival of the new machines. Be sure to stop by the showrooms and yards and take a look. If you would like more information, speak with Bryan Barnes at 866-228-3447.
